Ramsay is now 10wks old, and has been with NewMama and me for about 2wks. Walks have been good, although dogbert seems to need frequent rests while on the uphill parts. Practically no stops on the downward stretches tough. NewMama has also observed that he does very well when walking with his new best friend, Eiger - our friendly neighborhood Greater Swiss Mountain Dog.
We're hitting that oh-so-painful part of potty training where at times, Ramsay seems to regress and forget exactly where the wee-wee pads are - despite being perfect at other times and at other houses. "This too shall pass" has been my mantra of late.
I have to remind myself that he's still only 10wks old, and that such setbacks will happen. Work in progress...

hang in there! puppy bladders are tiny so it often is a matter of trying to be regular and frequent! but doxies are notorious for their potty training learning curve (or lack thereof!)
we're getting there...in little puppy steps!
we found this spray stuff at the local mega-super-ultra-giant-chain pet store that can be sprayed onto floors to deter pooping/peeing. it's helped Ramsay find the pads better. he still has some misses - mostly with pee (thankfully not poop!), but this stuff has improved his accuracy quite a bit! not bad for 10wks old!
