the bed rediscovered

The soft dog bed.  During early puppyhood it performed double-duty as Ramsay's sleeping place and his toy - an object that existed to be dragged around his pen, taking with it ANYTHING in its path (including soiled training pads and their...um..."contents"), and whose fuzz needed to be scratched off and dispersed throughout the house like spores blown from a dandelion.  For the sake of the cleanliness of our home and our own sanity, we trained Ramsay to sleep in the bottom half of his dog crate (we removed the top and door).  He eventually lost interest in his soft beds altogether - preferring instead to hop on our couch or retire to the confines of an intact dog crate.

Fast-forward to the present.  For some reason (we think dogbert's playmates at doggy daycare may be at least partially responsible), Ramsay has rediscovered his soft beds.  Perhaps he noticed that we strategically placed them near the heater vents.  Perhaps he's jealous that his toyfriends have been enjoying them more than he has.  Whatever the reason, it's a welcome trend that we hope to see continued.
uuuuuuuuummm...can i help you?
