the longest walk

May 5, 2012.  Pier 46, NYC:  Team docsdox participated in the ALS Association's annual "Walk to Defeat ALS".  We walked to honor one of our dear family members who has the condition.  It was our first fund-raising effort and in the end, we managed to raise just over $4000!  Not bad, considering there were only three of us soliciting funds.  It was a great time for us to be with family and friends, and we look forward to participating again next year!  We encourage our readers to support their local ALS chapter, and to remember us when we raise funds for next year's walk!

Ramsay did quite well during the six-mile (round trip) walk, and behaved for much of it.  True to his racing nature, dogbert felt the occasional urge to race past our fellow walkers, dragging poor NewMama with him.  But overall, he did well for his first time in NYC.  As one might imagine, he is STILL sleeping it off!
