shadows and light...

An uncommonly sunny day over the past weekend presented an opportunity to experiment with some high-contrast and black-and-white pictures of dogbert.

'now where did i hide that KONG toy?  hmmmm..."

"i heard Superman got his powers from sunlight.
i wonder what it'll do for me?"
At 21wks and 1d of age, Ramsay weighs in at 7.2lbs!  NewMama and I have been working in tandem to teach him how to roll over - using a combination of toys and treats as his reward.  So far, so good!  The biggest obstacle was getting little chef to allow us to touch him - he's at that awkward stage where he's occasionally avoidant and doesn't like to be handled.  It seems we're getting past it though, as he's allowing us to nudge him to get the roll started.  There have even been a few instances where he's done it without physical prompting!

oh yes sunlight n doxies go hand in hand! you're doing very well with your training, ramsay! and don't worry, i was that way too with the handling. so many things to do and why does everybody wanna smoosh their face into me and pick me up? you get used to it (and u get lots of snackies!)

thanks for the props on the pix Melinda. i've sort of made it my mission to prove that great pix CAN be taken with a point-and-shoot camera and a minimal amount of digital editing! i'm trying to convince myself that i don't need one of those big ole' digital SLR cameras to get the shots that i want (nice as those cams may be...)! i think half of getting a great picture is spontaneity and you can't be too spontaneous with a clunky SLR!
