furry bedfellow...

In the beginning, NewMama and I agreed that, although dogbert could be allowed on the furniture (after draping a blanket where he would sit), he would NOT be allowed in bed with us.  Two of us was enough for one bed and besides, we were afraid of rolling onto the little snausage.  Back then, we didn't account for doxie cleverness.

Fast forward to the present.  Ramsay occasionally takes advantage of NewMama's newly-developed narcolepsy (due to particularly long hours at work) and sneaks under the covers when she falls asleep while giving him a goodnight cuddle.  Here's what I've encountered a couple of times this past month...
i must not move a muscle!
dad's vision is based on movement...
Try as he might to look like a casually-thrown stuffed animal, Ramsay gets busted time after time as I claim my rightful place in bed.  Thankfully he likes his crate, and doesn't complain when I transfer him to it!

P.S.:  BIG doxie shoutout to "Maggie", from one of our favorite blogs, "The Long and Short of it All"!  Our prayers are with her and her family.  Get well soon!

The puffy downy comforters are way too comfy for just the people. Or so Jeeves thinks.
Unlike all of his friends, Jeeves actually sleeps in a very cozy igloo on the floor next to my bed. When ever there is a stretch of him sleeping in the big bed, his big attitude gets a bit too alpha and his latent aggression issues pop up. He really likes his own bed.
Hope you are all getting some spring! Melinda and Jeeves

ooooh! IGLOO! very cool (no pun intended)! when dad ousts me from my comfy spot next to mom, i enjoy sleeping in my trusty ole' crate - as long as dad makes sure i can see them sleeping through the grates in the metal door...otherwise i get antsy!
